The books have heavy water damage that has seriously stained and discolored bottom half of boards on both volumes. All pages throughout both books have water stain marks half-way up page at an angle. Spines are untouched and make it loo k like both volumes are in fine shape. Owner's bookplates on front pastedowns. Gift inscription written on front free endpaper of both books. Despite damage both volumes are clean and tight. A good reading set.
