Two volumes bound together. The Guide to Domestic Happiness is first American edition, from the fifth London edition, and The Refuge (1805), sixth edition. Each has etching frontis which has left a shadow image on title page. Minor foxing. Some insect damage inside front board on first nine leaves. Hinges cracked, but tight. At some point the book was rebound with new leather placed over original binding. Red leather label on spine. Gilt spine lettering is worn but readable. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
